AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mother Katie Lou Moss entered into rest Monday, May 9, 2005 at University Hospital in Augusta. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Stamp Branch Baptist Church, Warrenton, GA with the Rev. Robert Martin officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mother Katie Lou Moss was born July 2, 1907 to the late Deacon Will and Emma Murray in Warren County, GA. At the age of ten years old she was converted and joined Stamp Branch Baptist Church, where she was baptized with the Holy Ghost and served faithfully until she became sick, December 19, 2004. She was the Mother of Stamp Branch Baptist Church, a member of the Deaconess Board and a member of the Missionary Board. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Deacon Willie Moss on May 23, 1931 and to this union eight children were born. Two preceded her in death, Willie K. Moss and Glennis Golatt. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmot her and great-great-grandmother. Her favorite song was "Look Where He Brought Me From". She was truly a servant of God. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two devoted sons, Emmanuel (E.K.) (Lavern) Moss, Atlanta and Lorenso Moss, Augusta; four loving devoted daughters, Emma Johnson of Augusta, Mary Ruth (Alonzeo) Young of Warrenton, Beaurine Wilkins and Diann (Collins) Harewood of Augusta; one brother, Edgar Murray, Warrenton; one sister, Mabel Hollingsworth, Atlanta; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Moss of Thomason, GA and Lillian Murray of Warrenton; a devoted granddaughter, Antoinett Latimer, Augusta; 36 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a loyal friend, James Merchantson. Friends may call at the Dawson's Mortuary, 98 Hopgood St., Warrenton, GA.
