Mr. Sammie Savage (LAUDERDALE, Fla.)



LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Mr. Sammie Savage, 84, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 6, 2005. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Baptist Church, Elko, SC with Reverend A. Setters and Reverend Norman O'Neal officiating. Burial will be at Sandhill Cemetery. Mr. Savage was a resident of Williston, SC for many years. He was preceded in death by his son, Glendell Savage. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Blanchie Savage; six sons, Sammie (Rosa) Savage, Sterling (Marilyn) Savage, all of Lehigh, Fla., Anthony Savage, Ft. Lauderdale, Klent (Janice) Savage, Deerfield Beach, Fla., Louis (Joyce) Savage, Plantation, Fla., Kirk Savage, Ft. Lauderdale; two daughters, Lydia (Ted) Andrews, Gail (Steve) Reece, all of Ft. Lauderdale; special daughter/granddaughter, Glashell (Demetrious) Savage, Ft. Lauderdale; four brothers, Roosevelt (Dorothy) Savage, Ft. Lauderdale, Leon (Rebecca) Savage, Hosie (Blanche ) Savage, all of Williston, William (Reatha) Savage of Ft. Lauderdale; three sisters, Mattie Harley, Katherine Bing, both of Williston, Georgia Benton, Savannah, GA; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Sapp, Janie Abner, both of Williston; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, May 13, 2005 at the funeral home.
