Fishing tournaments



Sponsoring a bass, crappie, catfish or other fishing tournament? Mail or fax your flier or information to Fishing Editor, The Augusta Chronicle, P.O. Box 1928, Augusta, Ga. 30903-1928. Fax number: (706) 823-3408. Tournament reports must include first and last names of the participants, total numbers of fish and total weight of the catch.

Open Team Bass Tournament

May 14, Wildwood Park

Entry fee costs $65 per team with $5 optional big fish pot fee. If team isn't affiliated with Clark Hill Committee, entry fee costs $40 extra. Guaranteed first place prize of $5,000. Tournament hours 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Late entries begin at 5 a.m., at the ramps tournament day. Wildwood Bass Tournament

Fishin' for Vision Tournament

Sanctioned by National Striped Bass Association. Entry fee costs $100 per boat, $25 per boat big fish pot and an optional $25 per boat for the tournament within the tournament. Guaranteed first-place prize of $4,000, $1,000 for big fish. Headquarters for the tournament where registration, captains' meeting and weigh-ins will take place is the Irmo Village Shopping Center.
