Mrs. Carolyn Attaway (THOMSON, Ga.)

THOMSON, Ga. - Mrs. Carolyn Victoria Corbitt Attaway, 505 Cobbham Road, Thomson, entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2005 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Mrs. Attaway is survived by her husband, Roger Attaway, Jr. of Thomson, GA; daughters, Lynn Bishop of Thomson, Gaye (Andy) Potate of Atlanta, GA, Penny (Jennifer) Corbitt of Miami, FL; sons, Phil (Peggy) Corbitt, Bob Corbitt, both of Thomson; stepson, Roddy (Jean) Attaway and stepdaughter, Rita (Stewart) Ray, both of Evans, GA; and twenty grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition, Mrs. Attaway unofficially adopted (and they adopted her in return) several other "children", of which Liz Smith, Peggy Poole, Vivian Doughty, and Patricia Lokey, all of Thomson, Brenda Vaneigh of Gibson, GA Patti Evans of Columbia, SC, Donna Wellmaker of Augusta, GA, and Betty Ann Norris of Greenville, SC are but a few of her enormous extended family. Services will be held at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, at 11:00am, on Thursday, May 12th with Revs. Mike Sutphine and John Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
