AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the residence of his daughter, Mr. Henry Lawrence Hudson, 91, a life long resident of Augusta. Mr. Hudson served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was also an aircraft mechanic for "The Keep 'Em Flying Boys" during World War II. He retired after 21 years of service from Federal Paper. He was a member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church. Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife of 71 years, Mary Brantley Hudson; a daughter, Ann Reese and her husband, Roland A. Resse, Altamonte Springs, Fla.; two sons, Phil Hudson, Arlington, TX, Eddie Hudson and his wife Barbara, Jupiter Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Umphrey, Brunswick, Mary Williams, Augusta; and a brother, R.L. Hudson, Graniteville, S.C. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by a son, Denny Hudson. A graveside service will be held today, Wednesday, May 11 at 11:00 AM at Westover Memorial P ark. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Russell Reese, Randall Reese, Rodney Reese, Perry Hudson, Taylor Hudson and Ryan Hudson.
