Fishing tournaments



Sponsoring a bass, crappie, catfish or other fishing tournament? Mail or fax your flyer or information to Fishing Editor, The Augusta Chronicle, P.O. Box 1928, Augusta, Ga. 30903-1928. Fax number: (706) 823-3408. Tournament reports must include first and last names of the participants, total numbers of fish and total weight of the catch.

Open Team Tournament

Saturday, Wildwood Park

Entry fee $45, $5 big fish pot. Eighty percent payback. Drawing for positions will be held at the ramp early on tournament day. Hours are safe light until 3 p.m. The tournament will coincide with the Wildwood Bass Tournament listed below and both events' weigh-ins will begin together.

Saturday, Wildwood Park

Entry fee $45 per team, $5 big fish pot. 80 percent payback, 20 percent will stay at the park. Registration at the ramp 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. Tournament hours safe light until 3 p.m. Five-fish limit and a polygraph will be given. Clark Hill Committee rules apply. Drawing for prizes after the tournament

Entry fee $50 per team. Payback 90 percent. Size of the field will determine the number of places paid. Ten percent will be donated to the Southeastern Paralyzed Veterans Association Tournament. Tourney hours 6 p.m. until midnight.
