AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on March 17, 2005, at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home, Glaser F. "Ted" Burkhardt, Jr. beloved husband of Dorothy E. "Dot" Burkhardt. Mr. Burkhardt was born in Connellsville, PA and had lived in Martinez for the past eight years. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp as a Staff Sgt. until his retirement. He was a member of Barton Chapel Methodist Church. Other survivors include his children, Glaser F. (Rick) Burkhardt, III, William N. "Bill" Burkhardt, Karenann B. Amster, Herbert C. "Bert" Burkhardt and David Paul "Dave" Burkhardt; grandchildren, Cortnie Marie Burkhardt, Glaser F. "Freddie" Burkhardt, IV, and Nannette L. Betlach; great-granddaughters, Morgan Betlach and Alana Betlach. Inurnment services will be April 5, 2005, 3:00 P.M., at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
