NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert H. Mayo, 76, of Ridgecrest Avenue, North Augusta, SC, who died March 17, 2005, will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Phillip L. Hamilton and Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. Mr. Mayo was a native of Calhoun County, Florida, having made North Augusta his home for the past 12 years. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Church, a retired Maintenance Superintendent in the paper mill industry and an employee of Lowe's Home Improvement. A 50 year Mason, Mr. Mayo was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge #315 AFM. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Betty Miller Mayo. Survivors include three sons, James Mayo, Jacksonville, FL, Bert Mayo, North Augusta and Thad Mayo, Apex, NC; a daughter, Debi Beene, Baton Rouge, LA; five brothers, R.L. Mayo, Clifford Mayo, Johnny Mayo and Wayne Mayo all of C larksville, FL, Gene Mayo, Panama City Beach, FL; five sisters, Margaret Davis and Avis Dykes, both of Clarksville, FL, Elaine Jerome, Beloit, WI, Ellen Dawsey and Helen Howard, both of Panama City, FL eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Acacia Lodge # 315 AFM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6.
