AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Burlese M. Beck of Dan Bowles Rd., entered into rest March 14, 2005 at the St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 18, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Moses Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Green officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. She was a native of Barnwell County, SC and a member of the Moses Baptist Church where she served as president of the Senior Choir from 1971 to 1987, a Deaconess, a member of the Senior Missionary Society and speerheaded the sick and shut-in Ministry. Survivors are two daughters, Christolla Corbitt, Atlantic City, NJ, Shirley Blocker, Augusta; two sons, Melvin Beck, Augusta, Robert Lee Beck, Atlantic City, NJ; three sisters, Adell Peeples, Detroit, Mich., Elizabeth Burton, Augusta, Susie Adams, New York, NY; two brothers, Arthur Meyer, Washington, D.C., Rhayford Meyer, Augusta; devoted friends, The Brygleson Family and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
