Mr. James L. Best (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on March 12, 2005, Mr. James L. "Jamie" Best of Martinez, GA. Mr. Best lived in Augusta all of his life. He attended Lakeside High School and was a Baptist. Jamie loved people, his family and sports. His family loved him tremendously and he will be greatly missed. Jamie is survived by his father, Jimmy Best of Augusta; his mother, Monique P. Parker and her husband, Richard Parker of Mobile, AL; his daughter, Daphne Analese Walker; his life long friend and mother of his child, Deanne Walker; brothers, Nathaniel Peloquin of Mobile, AL and Dalton C. Best of Martinez, GA; paternal grandmother, Helen Best and his late grandfather John J. Best; his maternal grandparents, James E. and Barbara James and numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in the Thomas Poteet & Son Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Adam Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park. The family will rec eive friends on (today) Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1384 Greene St. Augusta, GA 30901.
