OAK HILL, VA. - Ms. Martha Scott, 53, of Cedar Run Lane, daughter of the late Rev. Tommie and Nancy Scott, entered into rest March 10, 2005 at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at J.B. Jenkins Funeral Home, Landover, Maryland with the Rev. Dr. Nicholas Genevieve Tweed officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Ms. Scott attended Benedict College and was a graduate of Midland Technical Business School, Columbia and a 1970 graduate of W.E. Parker High School. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a former member of Spring Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her stepmother, Georgia C. Scott, Belvedere; three daughters, Terra Elam, Kesha Elam and Shonda Elam, Oak Hill; three brothers, Tommie (Essie) Scott, James Scott, North Augusta and Roosevelt (Belinda) Scott, Augusta; four sisters, Fannie (Rev. Joseph) Hightower, Lawton, Okla., Rosetta (Horace) Thompson, Mitchevelle, MD, R ev. Dr. Annie (Alex) Hammond, Trenton, SC and Mildred Scott, Forest Hill, NY; brother-in-law, William Ellis, Oxon Hill, MD; sister-in-law, Pamela Denise Scott, North Augusta; uncle, Grover Broadwater; four grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
