AIKEN, S.C. - Entered into rest on Saturday, March 5, 2005, Mr. Leon Bonnette, of 820 Good Springs Road, Aiken, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Garvin Bonnette, a daughter, Ms. Annette Bonnette and granddaughter, Wanda Beach. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Cobb Weeks of Aiken, SC; two sons, Billy Bonnette of Aiken, SC and Larry Bonnette of Clearwater, SC; a sister, Vivian Selfridge of Clearwater SC; two brothers, Elmer O. Bonnette of Clarksville, GA and Blanchard Bonnette of Warrenville, SC; nine grandchildren, Tiffany Coleman, Tanya Odom, Tammy Ballentine, Michael Bonnette, Marty Ellis, Ross Craven, Renee Hutto, Diane Pilot and Gene Weeks, Jr. and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bonnette was born in Windsor, SC to the late Cohen and Annie Bonnette. He retired from Bath Mill with 30 years of service. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corporation. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elmer Bonnette and Chaplain Kathy Cole officiating. Interment in Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Coleman, Jerry Odom, Steve Hutto, Richard Ballentine, Ross Craven and Leon Garvin.
