WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest Saturday, March 5, 2005, Mr. Thomas "Bob" Cushman of Warrenville, SC, beloved husband of Myrtie Johnson Cushman, and son of the late Gola Cushman and the late Clotilde Weeks Cushman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rick Cushman and his wife, Sibyl and Robert Cushman, all of Aiken, SC; a daughter, Kim Dailey and her husband, Randall of Graniteville, SC; two grandchildren, Thomas and Sarah Cushman of Aiken, SC; a brother, Ramie Cushman and his wife, Janette of Holden Beach, NC; three sisters, Mary Harrison of Warrenville, SC, Joan Woodzell and her husband, Jack of Graniteville, SC and Linda Brubaker and her husband, John of Anacortes, Washington and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roslyn Duggans. He was born in Barnwell County, but had been a resident of Aiken County for the past sixty-two years. He attended Stiefeltown Baptist C hurch and was a member of the C.E. Jay Sunday School Class. He retired as a skilled craftsman for H.W. Duffie Construction Company in Martinez, Georgia after nineteen years of service. For years, he worked on projects in New York on the St. Lawrence Seaway and Niagara Falls, Las Vegas, Nevada and South Georgia. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union #283 in Augusta, Georgia. He was a member of the Star Lodge #99 in Graniteville, SC. He was a member of the Aiken-Barnwell Genealogical Society. He was a Mayflower Descendant and a member of the Mayflower Descendants of South Carolina Society. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served his country during the Korean Conflict. The family stated that he was a good husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather, who just adored his grandchildren. They further stated that he also had a great love for the Edisto River and was an avid fisherman and gardener. In summation, he was a well-rounded family man who enjoyed life to the fullest; and ye s, he will surely be missed by all whose lives he touched. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday evening, March 8, 2005 at 6:30 PM in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Broach and the Rev. W. C. Lowe officiating. The Honorary pallbearers will be members of the C.E. Jay Sunday School Class of Stiefeltown Baptist Church and Tommy Proctor, Leon Kneece, Ricky Green, Joey Weeks and Wilford Rearden. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the hour of service (6:30 PM) on Tuesday evening. Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Graniteville, SC. 29829.
