Richmond County sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Cider Lane Thursday night after a disorder earlier in the evening turned bloody.
Investigator Tom Johnson said a 20-year-old man was shot in his right leg while standing outside a Cider Lane residence at about 7:30 p.m. The bullet hit an artery and the man was taken by ambulance to Medical College of Georgia Hospital, he said.
The shooting stemmed from an altercation on Jonathan Circle earlier Thursday night, he said.
Authorities are currently searching for the man responsible for the shooting, Investigator Johnson said.
