AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Dunc Adcox, age 81, husband of the late Mrs. Jackie McElveen Adcox entered into rest Sunday, February 27, 2005 at his home. Mr. Adcox retired as Superintendent of Health Care and Finish Goods of J. P. King Mill. He was a Charter Member and Former Member of Twin States Golf Association, Board of Directors of King Mill Savings and Credit Association, and Charter Member of Midland Valley Country Club. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy as a Signal Man. Funeral Services will be held today, March 2, 2005 at 12:00 noon at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 1134 Telfair Street with Reverend Adam Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Bill Burnley, Robbie Nelson, Bill Sams, Bert Clements, Tom Herman, and Rob Zapata. Survivors include one son, Kenneth D. Adcox Sr. and his wife Lisa of Augusta; one brother, John Adcox of Grovetown; two sisters, Carlene Will iams of Gastonia, NC and Elaine Rogers of Jacksonville, FL; one grandson, Kenneth D. Adcox II of Athens, GA; and one granddaughter, Danielle Leigh Brush Adcox of Athens, GA. Mr. Adcox was preceded in death by his brother, Dorson Adcox. The family will receive friends at a family members home after the funeral services. The address is 3230 Fairfax Dr. (in Montclair neighborhood), Augusta, GA.
