Thank you so much for that very inspiring article on Keysville Mayor Emma Gresham ("Keysville mayor to end career with few regrets," Feb. 20).
I have known her since I was a child. She, her late husband and my mother and father, both deceased, were very good friends, and there were at least three or four Sundays in the year where we would attend Mt. Tabor church services, as well as she and her family attending First Baptist Church services.
Although I have been living and working abroad for more than 30 years, I have followed her public service work, and I think that it is not only a legacy but an inspiration to all of us who would like to make the world a better place.
