OXFORD, Miss. - Armintie Price had her third straight strong game, finishing with 19 points and 16 rebounds in a 57-51 victory over last-place South Carolina on Sunday.
Price - coming off games with 25 and 30 points against Auburn and Georgia, respectively - was just 6-of-20 from the field but hit 7-of-8 free throws to lead Ole Miss (18-9, 8-6 Southeastern Conference).
Carletta Brown added 11 points for the Rebels, who remain in fifth place in the SEC.
Melanie Johnson had 15 points and Iva Sliskovic had 10 for South Carolina (8-20, 2-12), which lost despite a strong second half in which the Gamecocks shot better than 48 percent from the field.
The worst 3-point shooting team in the conference, South Carolina was just 4-of-17 from beyond the arc.
