Mr. James Brian Cagney (LEXINGTON, S.C.)



LEXINGTON, S.C. - A celebration of the life of James Brian Cagney, 40, will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Horeb United Methodist Church with Reverends Richard Knight and Miyoung Paik officiating. Graveside services to follow at Woodridge Memorial Park, Lexington. The family will receive friends Monday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. James "Jim" Brian Cagney died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at his home surrounded by family and friends after a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Trenton, NJ. Jim was the beloved husband of Catherine "Cathy" Harman Cagney and father of Catherine "Catie" Blackwell Cagney and Camryn Finley Cagney, the beloved son of James Francis and Doris V. Cagney of Southport, NC and beloved brothers of Cheryl Cagney Cunningham and husband Tom of Trenton, Mich.; Michael Scott Cagney and wife, June of San Francisco . Jim is also survived by a niece, Ciara Cagney and nephews, Bryan and Ross Cunningham and Chase Harman. Jim was a 1987 graduate of Clemson University, earning a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Professional Engineer with the South Carolina Department of Transportation where he held the position of State Administrator of Engineering Operations. Jim was a member of the family of Lexington United Methodist Church. He volunteered as a Gallery Guard for the Augusta National Master's Tournament for fifteen years and loved the sport. Jim was a wonderful, loving man, who had a great impact on the many lives he touched. He will be missed by all.
