Ga. Tech, Florida St. named permanent basketball partners

CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson will play Georgia Tech and Florida State at home and away in each of the next three years, according to the Atlantic Coast Conference's new 16 game schedule for its 12 team league.

Under the new schedule, Clemson and every other ACC team will have two opponents to play home-and-away in each of the next three years. The remaining teams will be split into three groups. The Tigers will play one three-team group in a home-and-away series, one group at home and one group on the road.

The groups then rotate, so over the next three seasons, Clemson will have played at least two road games and two home games against each ACC team

In the 2005-06 season, the Tigers will play their permanent partners along with Wake Forest, Virginia and Virginia Tech both at home and away.

Clemson will face North Carolina, Boston College and Miami solely on the road and will host the only game of the season against Duke, Maryland and North Carolina State.
