Mrs. Edna R. Barfield (OCILLA, Ga.)

OCILLA, Ga. - Edna R. Barfield, 94, of Ocilla, died February 14, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital, Augusta. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2005 at Riverbend Baptist Church Cemetery, Irwin County, GA. Visitation will be held at Paulk Funeral Home, Ocilla from 7:00 until 9:00 Wednesday evening. Mrs. Barfield was born March 3, 1910, in Irwin County, GA, to the late Richard and Lucy Henderson Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Joe B. Barfield. Survivors include her daughter, JoAnn (Loron) Stripling, Jackson, SC; son, Larry (Voncile) Barfield, Ocilla; grandchildren, Michael Stripling, Craig (Kimberly) Stripling, Gary Barfield, Amy Manning and Lori Carter; great-grandchildren, Amy Frey, Richard Stripling, Melissa Wood, Zachary Burch and Zane Stripling and seven great-great-grandchildren.
