Get informed, know what to protest

Seems some folks never learn. The arrogant, self-appointed know-it-alls who danced, paraded and carriedthe banners of America's enemiesduring the 1960s-1970s are back at it again.

These cowardsextended the war, not shortened it, as the leaders of the North Vietnam Army (NVA) haveopenly admitted. The 1968 Tet offensivewas a smashing defeat for theNVA,as thousands of their soldiers were caught in massed groups by B-52s and decimated.

However, it was portrayed as a major wartime lossto America bymainstream media andthe witless protesters.

In reality, North Vietnam was ready to sign a peace treaty in 1968 except they were persuaded by the "peace demonstrators" to continue fighting.Notable among these protesterswere John F. Kerry, Bill Clintonand Jane Fonda. America'smilitary forcesnever lost a battle -weak politicians caved and gave the enemya political victory.

Just as the Iraqis now spit on bombers who kill Iraqis, I spit on cowardly protesters. You want the freedoms of this country? Put your life on the line. Help or get out of the way.If you're squeamish about fighting or serving your country,at least control your immature andimpulsiveactionsso as not to cause the death of others by your thoughtless deeds.

You require more maturity and knowledge before taking those actions. Broaden your news intake; don't listen to just one or two news channels; don't believe everything you read in the newspapers. Go on the Internet and widen your news sources.

There are a lot of alternative newssources available so anyone can get a better picture of the facts, not just a steady stream of ideology being directed at the unsuspecting public.

Informed peopleget their facts from multiple reliable news sources on a daily basis. It's called freedom.
