  • Feb. 18-20: Southeastern Wildlife Exposition will be held in Charleston, S.C., with dozens of events, shows and tourism programs. Call (843) 853-8000 or visit www.charlestoncvb.com for more details.
  • Feb. 18-20: National Wild Turkey Federation will hold the 29th Annual Convention & Sport Show at the Gaylord Opryland Resourt & Convention Center, Nashville. Visit www.nwtf.org for more details.
  • Feb. 26-27: The Ninth Annual Atlanta Fly Fishing Festival will be held at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga., with demonstrations and guests including famous angler Lefty Kreh. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 and children under 13 are admitted free.
  • March 4-5: Rivers & Glen outfitters at Surrey Center, Augusta, will hold a flyfishing seminar with instruction on techniques, equipment and other aspects of flycasting. Call (706) 738-4536 for more details.
  • March 9-10: Hunter Education classes will be offered at Fort Gordon's Eisenhower Army Medical Center conference room, 6-10 p.m. Call 791-5078 for more details.
  • March 12: Quality Deer Management Association's 2005 Spring Banquet & Auction will be held at Sheraton Buckhead Hotel, 3405 Lenox Road NE, Atlanta. Speakers include outdoor writer J. Wayne Fears, deer biologist Kent Kammermeyer and others.   • March 13: An archery tournament will be held at Fort Gordon's Range 14. Open to public, ages 5 to adult, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. Call 791-5078 for details.
  • March 17-18: The National Striped Bass Association's Shakespeare Striper Tour and Gold Cup Series will be held at Lake Murray near Columbia, S.C. Daily weigh-ins will take place during the Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic at the S.C. State Fairgrounds. Call (864) 915-5348 for details.
  • April 1-2: A primitive weapons turkey hunt will be held at Bussey Point Wilderness Area at Thurmond Lake. Gates open one hour before sunrise each day. Hunts are limited to 10 hunters selected by drawing.
