COLUMBIA, S.C. - Louise Emeagi scored 17 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Auburn beat South Carolina 56-47 on Sunday.
The Tigers (12-9, 3-5 Southeastern Conference) trailed 41-33 with just over six minutes to go, but ended the game on a 23-6 run to pick up their second SEC win in a row.
The run started with a 3-pointer by Emeagi. Auburn's Alexis Ogubie tied the game at 44 with just over three minutes to go on a pair of free throws, then Natasha Brackett fast break layup gave the Tigers the lead for good with 2:33 left.
Ogubie had nine points and ten rebounds, while Natasha Brackett added 11 points for Auburn.
South Carolina (6-16, 0-8 SEC) was led by Ilona Burgriva, Angela Hunter and Melanie Johnson, who each scored nine points.
The Gamecocks have has lost 14 SEC games in a row, and 22 of their last 23 league games.
