EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Carolyn Wood Morgan, 74, of Edgefield died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Red Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Morgan was born in Aiken County and lived in Augusta until her marriage. She was the secretary at Alford's Cotton Ginnery and later owned and operated Carolyn's House of Fabrics. She was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church and former President of the W.M.U. Survivors include her husband H. Kenneth Morgan; two daughters, Lanie (Jerry) Murrell, Trenton and Diane (Johnny) Murrell, Edgefield; two sisters, Jacquelyn Adams, Harlem and Laverne Wilkins, New Orleans; grandchildren, Roxie Berry, Brian Murrell, Mary Willis, Rebecca Dantzler, Tolbert Murrell, Alex Murrell, Patrick Murrell, Joni Murrell, Sylvia Byrd and Miriam Murrell. She is also survived by seven great-grandchil dren and a host of nieces and nephews. Grandson and grandson-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
