Mr. Calvin E. Rutland (WARRENVILLE, S.C.)



WARRENVILLE, S.C. - Entered into rest on Monday, January 31, 2005, Mr. Calvin E. Rutland, husband of Mrs. Shirley Adams Rutland, of Hill and Dale Drive, Warrenville. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Nancy Miller of Suwanee, GA and Vickie Cuebas of North Augusta; five sons, Dennis Rutland of Athens, Tenn., Randy Rutland of Aiken, Tony Rutland of Warrenville, Mike Galloway of Bath and Ken Galloway of Arcadia, Fla.; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Rutland was born in White Pond, SC to the late Charlie and Mary Ann Gregory Rutland. He was retired from Clearwater Finishing Plant, a division of United Merchants and Manufacturing, with 40 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Beech Island, SC. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Rev. David Hixon officiating. Mr. Rutland will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be held in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Billy Proctor, Earl Keenan, Tommy Adams, Manuel Gunter, Eugene Chustz, Bubba Wright and Ed Miller. Memorials to: Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 363 Pine Log Road, Beech Island, SC 29842. Friends may call at the residence or on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy.
