Mr. Raymond A. Lacross (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Raymond A. Lacross, 74, husband of the late Irmagard Vetter Lacross, entered into rest Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Downtown Veterans Hospital. Mr. Lacross was a native of Winooski, VT and the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Hatain Lacross. He retired as 1 Sgt. from the US Army after serving in Vietnam and Korea and received the Bronze Star. Mr. Lacross was the former owner of Martinez Upholstery , a volunteer at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center , a member of Senior Friends and a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Family members include, one daughter, Hanna L. Utley, Appling; one son, Authur J. Lacross, Augusta; two grandsons, Nicholas R. Utley and Raymond J. Lacross; four brothers, Arnold Lacross, Albert (Joe) Lacross, Roland Lacross, Kinston and Edward Lacross; two sisters, Mrs. Roger (Anita) Jalbert and Mrs. David (Anna) Wright; two aunts, Helen Loiselle and Rita LaFevre and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 4, 2005 at Poteet Funeral Home, West Chapel with Rev. Thomas Peyton officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park by the Fort Gordon Ceremonial Detachment.
