Mrs. Ethel Caraway (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Ethel Caraway, age 90, entered into rest on Wednesday morning, February 2, 2005 at Westwood Nursing Home, Evans, GA. A native of Johnson County, GA she had resided in the Augusta area since moving from Swainsboro, GA in 1994. A resident of Swainsboro for approximately 50 years, Mrs. Caraway had retired at the age of 79 from Twin City Manufacturing Co., after over 50 years of service. While living in Swainsboro, she attended the Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was involved in Women's Missions and the Ladies Circle. She was a member of the Gum Log Primitive Baptist Church, Kite, GA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Zeanus T. Caraway, who passed away in 1976, a son, William "Bill" Caraway and a grand daughter, Paula Bowen. She is survived by two daughters, Jeanette C. Snell, Evans and Barbara Poole and her husband, Raymond, Grovetown; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchi ldren and several nieces and nephews. Local funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2005 from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA with Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev. Barry Daniel, officiating. Visitation will follow from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Gum Log Primitive Baptist Church, Kite, GA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
