Regrading the editorial "Cult of selfishness" (Jan. 18, on senior citizens and school-tax exemptions), I daresay that if all the seniors in the CSRA were to cancel their subscriptions to The Augusta Chronicle, there would be no Chronicle!
I am growing very tired of the discouraging divisions that are caused in this city because of the comments on blacks vs. whites, and old vs. young. I think it is time for these discrepancies to be put out to pasture.
Let's get on with the 21st century by promoting peace, compassion and spiritual beliefs instead of the constant diet of hatred, anger and negativity.
It's time to bury the past and get on with the future!
