A look at the Jan. 30 Iraqi election, by the numbers:
Eligible voters: about 14 million in Iraq, plus 1.2 million overseas who are eligible to vote in 14 countries.
Number of seats up for election in the transitional National Assembly: 275.
Lists competing for National Assembly seats: 111, including nine coalitions, 75 parties, 27 individuals.
Candidates for National Assembly: about 7,700.
Candidates for 111 seats in the Kurdish legislature: 463.
Candidates for local councils in Iraq's 18 provinces: about 10,837.
Total number of Iraqis seeking public office: about 19,000.
Polling centers: 5,220, with up to seven polling stations at each center.
Number of voters to cast ballots at each polling station: 500.
Polling site workers on election day: 140,000.
