Last week: Tiger Woods won the Buick Invitational for his first PGA Tour stroke-play title since October 2003. Tom Lehman, Luke Donald and Charles Howell tied for second, three strokes back. Woods also won at Torrey Pines in 1999 and 2003.
Notes: Mickelson tied for 56th last week in San Diego in his first start of the year.... Left-handed players have won the tournament three straight years, with Mickelson also winning in 2002 and Mike Weir taking the 2003 title. Mickelson and Weir also have won the Masters Tournament the past two years.... David Duval shot 59 on the Palmer course in the final round of his 1999 victory.... Joe Durant set the PGA Tour's 90-hole record in 2001 with a 36-under 324 total....The final round will be played on the Palmer course. Palmer won the inaugural event in 1960 and added victories in 1962, 1968, 1971 and 1973.... Davis Love III is making his first start of the year.... Craig and Kevin Stadler are in the field along with Jay and Bill Haas, marking the first time two father-son pairs have played in a PGA Tour event.... Craig Stadler, Jay Haas, Peter Jacobsen, Tom Kite, Lanny Wadkins and Mark McCumber are skipping the Champions Tour event in Hawaii to play in the tournament. Jay Haas is 100-under par in his past four appearances in the event.

Last week: South Africa's Tim Clark won the South African Open, beating countryman Charl Schwartzel and France's Gregory Havret by six strokes at Durban Country Club. Clark also won the 2002 tournament.
NATIONWIDE TOUR
Panama Championship

Last year: Jimmy Walker won the first of two 2004 titles, beating Tom Scherrer by five strokes. Walker led the tour's 20 PGA Tour qualifiers, topping the money list with $371,346 and earning player of the year honors.
Last event: Nick Watney won the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship on Oct. 31 in Prattville, Ala. He finished fifth on the money list to earn a PGA Tour card.
