Mrs. Ruth Hadden (LANGLEY, S.C.)

LANGLEY, S.C. - Entered into rest on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, Mrs. Ruth Bruce Scott Hadden, formerly of Pelzer Street, Langley, SC. She was the wife of the late Mr. William "Bill" (Red) Hadden. Surviving is a daughter, Betty Ailstock of Langley, SC; two sons, William "Pete" Scott of Aiken, SC, Jack Scott of Bath, SC; a sister, Dorothy McNeely, of Luck, Wisconsin; a brother, Ed Bruce of North Augusta, SC; six grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and a number of great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hadden was born in Aiken County, SC to the late Terrell and Sally Bruce. She retired from Seminole Mill and Bobby's BBQ. She was a member of the Bible Church in Belvedere, SC. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Walter E. Newman and Ray Massey officiating. Interment: Langley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hadden, Herbert Hearst, Melvin McGayee, Lester Hadden, Eddie Chalker, and Thomas Hadden. Memorials may be made to the United Christian Church, P.O. Box 7684, North Augusta, SC 29841. Friends may call at the residence of her son, Jack Scott, 116 Minter Street, Bath, SC or on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hatcher Funeral Home, U.S. Hwy.
