CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Virginia went on a second-half 17-4 run on its way to beating Clemson 68-49 in Atlantic Coast Conference action Sunday afternoon at University Hall.
The Cavaliers (13-4, 3-1 ACC) held the Lady Tigers (7-8, 1-2) to just 21 second-half points, while they shot 63 percent from the field.
Jocelyn Logan-Friend led Virginia with 14 points and LaTonya Blue added 10.
Tasha Phillips led Clemson with 15 points and Reggie Maddox added 10.
Virginia jumped out to a 14-6 lead that Clemson answered with a 13-4 run for a 19-18 lead. The two were tied at 28 at the end of the half.
