AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Margie Anderson, 75, entered into rest on Friday, January 14, 2005 at University Hospital. She is the widow of the late George S. Anderson, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 17, 2005 at Fleming Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. A native of Augusta, Ga., Mrs. Anderson was a member of Fleming Baptist Church for 50 years and she was a member of the Ruth Baptist Class and sang in the sanctuary choir. She is survived by two sons, George S. Anderson, Jr., Roland L. Anderson, Sr., both of Augusta; one brother, Dorsey Peebles of Adrain, Ga.; two sisters, Joann James of Augusta and Nell King of Thomson; four grandchildren, Brian Anderson, Jessica Thornton, Lee Anderson, Peter Anderson and two great-grandchildren, Brian Anderson, Jr. and Alexis Anderson. Pallbearers will be Brian Anderson, Lee Anderson, Ben Thornton, Steve Peebles, Robert Austin, Joe Holland, Tom Miller and Dale Renfroe. Memorials may be made to Fleming Baptist Church Building Fund, 3027 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Ga. 30906.
