Mrs. Asa J. Bentley (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Asa Judson Bentley age 86, of Augusta, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Rose B. Bentley, entered into rest Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2005 at Crawford Ave. Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Daniel and Rev. Joey Thompson officiating. A native of Lincolton,Ga. , Mr. Bentley was a member of Crawford Ave. Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He owned and operated the Bentley & Jackson Texaco station for 23 years, he also worked at Claussens Bakery for 12 years. Survivors include two sons and daughter in laws, Ted and Laura Bentley and Ray and Amanda Bentley all of Evans, GA.; three daughters and son in laws, Margaret and Al Jackson, Faye and Bobby Berry and Marie and Mike Sutton all of Martinez, GA. Brother, T.W. Bentley Jr. of Wrens, two sisters, Ruth Fox of Lincolnton, and Esther Daniels of Augusta. Fifteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchi ldren and two step grandchildren , and three step great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be : grandsons, Randy Bentley, Danny Bentley, Sean Bentley, Austin Bentley, Chris Berry, Brian Berry, Mike Cannell, Dan Morris, Darrell Hampson, Chris Lowe, and Joey Collins.
