ATHENS, Ga. - Four Georgia players scored in double figures to lead the 16th-ranked Lady Dogs to their sixth straight win, a 68 to 52 decision over Tennessee-Martin today.
Cori Chambers scored 13 points, followed by Sherill Baker with 12, Tasha Humphrey with eleven and Alexis Kendrick with ten.
Baker contributed four steals to the cause for Georgia (11-3).
Tennessee-Martin (1-10) got 12 points from Danielle Page, eleven from Chandra Carey and ten from Andreika Jackson. The Skyhawks turned the ball over 22 times in losing their ninth straight game.
The undersized Skyhawks led 4 to 3 after Jackson's basket beat the Georgia press with 18:43 to go in the first half. But the Lady Dogs scored 15 consecutive points over the next seven minutes, building an 18 to 4 lead when Megan Darrah finished a fast break with a layup.
