Mr. Carol Douglas Quick, Jr. (WAYNESBORO, Ga.)

WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Carol Douglas "Pete" Quick, Jr., 71, entered into rest at his residence on Monday, December 27, 2004. Mr. Quick was a retired maintenance mechanic from Parker Automotive. Mr. Quick was a member of Botsford Baptist Church where he was in the Joy Group and a former deacon. He lived his entire life in Burke County. Mr. Quick is survived by Eunice Quick, his wife of 52 years; one daughter, Carol Ann Q. Gresham and husband Joby; two sons, Richard Douglas Quick and wife Shirley and Michael "Jeff" Quick and wife Donna, all of Waynesboro; one sister, Melba Quick McManus of Jesup, GA; grandchildren, Amy Gresham Brien and husband John, Atlanta, Brad Gresham and wife Nichole, Waynesboro, Leslie Quick Cardoza and husband Matt, Conyers, Jennie K. Quick, Waynesboro, Michael Jeffery Quick, Jr., Waynesboro and two great grandchildren, Dallas Taylor Cooper and John Anderson Brien. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday, December 30, 2004 at Botsford Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen have kindly been asked to be pallbearers: James Flakes, Leroy Thomas, Robert Hickman, Allen DeLaigle, Avner DeLaigle, Bubba Westbrook, David Petrea and Danny Kent. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Botsford Baptist Church, W. H. Harper, Sr., Charlie Story, Van Lively and Chester Powell. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro. Donations may be made to Botsford Baptist Church or St. Joseph Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
