Mr. William Alex Powell (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest on December 22, 2004 at the V.A. Hospital, Mr. William Alex Powell husband of Mrs. Dorothy B. Powell of Augusta, Ga. Mr. Powell was a retired Brick Mason, he had lived in the Augusta area for the past 50 years. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Funeral services will be held at the Graveside, today, Friday, December 24, 2004 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating in Westover Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. today December 24, 2004. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy B. Powell, Augusta, Ga.; one son, James William Powell, Augusta, Ga.; one daughter, Jeanette Matthews, Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Herschell Powell, Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Caroline Perkins, Winder, Ga.; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
