Mrs. Janie Templeton Phillips (GIBSON, Ga.)



GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Janie Bell Templeton Phillips, 91, entered into rest December 13, 2004 at McDuffie County Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Moore and family friend Sara Cranford officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight, Wednesday, December 15, 2004 from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Jefferson County. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a husband Mr. William G. Templeton, and also Mr. Samson Phillips, two twin children, Frankie Templeton and Frances Templeton Ellis. Survivors include three sons, James Morris Templeton, Silverspring, MD; William Ray Templeton, Thomson; Charles Michael Ellis, Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Alice Buckner, Gibson; and Jo Turner, Hartwell; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildr en, nine great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great- grandchild.
