Mr. Woodrow Wilson Gantt (AIKEN, S.C.)



AIKEN, S.C. - Mr. Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Gantt, 61, of Screech Owl Trail, beloved husband of Sandra Gunter Gantt, died Tuesday December 14, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Gorby officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Park. A native and life long resident of Aiken County, Mr. Gantt was a son of the late Rev. Henry Wilson and Ruby Huff Gantt. He was retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass after 35 years. He attended Solid Rock Baptist Church, and was a member of the Aiken Horsepower Club. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons Timothy "Tim" (Colleen) Gantt and Ricky (Pam) Gantt, a sister, Grace Fox and a brother, Charles M. Gantt, all of Aiken. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Joshua, Tabitha, Justin, Ben and Clinton. Pallbearers will be Dennis Ford, Wesley Gunter, Scotty Urban, Dave Goldman, Marvin Dru m and Ben Chavous. Memorial contributions may be directed to Solid Rock Baptist Church's Building Fund or St. Joseph's Hospice of Augusta. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
