Mr. Herman M. Scroggs (BEECH ISLAND, S.C.)



BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Entered into rest Friday, December 12, 2004, Mr. Herman M. Scroggs, husband of Mrs. Lillian Atkins Scroggs, of Pine Log Rd., Beech Island, S.C. Surviving along with his wife are three daughters along with his wife are three daughters, Marilyn J. Riddick and Carol S. Attaway, both of Beech Island, S.C.; Janice S. Taylor, Lexington, S.C.; two brothers, Clarence Scroggs, Morganton, Ga.; Fred Scroggs, Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Cora Payne, Blue Ridge, Ga.; Ruth Ann Owensby, Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Mr. Scroggs was born in Fannin County, Ga., to the late Home and Lula Denny Scroggs. He was retired from E.I. Dupont and was a WW II Veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a member of Capers Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Monday, at 1 p.m. at Capers Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Copeland officiating. Inte rment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Taylor, Kevin Woods, Todd Love, Marty Judy, Dewayne Scroggs, Barry Rosier and Philip Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. A visitation will be held at Capers Chapel United Methodist Church Monday from Noon until 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to Capers Chapel United Methodist church, 204 Toole Circle, North Augusta, S.C., 29842.
