Wednesday

MIDWEEK MOVIES: Get your cinema fix early when the the epic Alexander, starring Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Rosaria Dawson and more, hits the big screen. It's the biopic of a man who had conquered the known world by age 25 to earn a place in history books and legend. Looking for a comedy? Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis star in Christmas With the Kranks, the tale of a couple who have had enough of the holidays and choose a cruise instead.

Thursday

HAPPY THANKSGIVING: Grab a family member and forget the turkey just long enough to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC (WAGT Channel 26). Floats, celebrities and lots of balloons make their way down Broadway from 9 a.m. to noon.

Saturday

GOT TALENT: The Battle of the Schools Talent Show is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Bernie Ward Recreation Center, 1941 Lumpkin Road. See which high school students have what it takes to be winners. Admission is $5.
