STAPLETON, Ga. - Mr. Jeffrey "Mark" Purvis, 16, of 2050 Deerwood Circle, entered into rest Saturday, November 20, 2004. A Mass will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in the Jefferson County High School Gym. Immediately following the Mass a Service will be held on the Football Field. Interment will be at Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tonight, Tuesday, November 23, 2004 from 6:00 - 9:00 at the funeral home. Cadet Ensign Jeffrey M. Purvis was a member of the Navy Junior ROTC and in the Junior Class at Jefferson County High School. He loved hunting, fishing and anything that had to do with the Military. His dream was to serve his Country by joining the Navy. He was a member at St. Joan of Ark Catholic Church in Louisville. Mark was a loving person and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include his mother, Susan Prescott (Rusty) Buckner, Stapleton; father, Marty (Sherry) Purvis, Wrens; two sist ers, Macy Purvis, Stapleton; Jeri Reed, Wrens; two brothers, Michael Thompson, Wrens; Christopher Buckner, Athens; and grandfather, Norwood Prescott, Matthews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Commander Charles Lewis, Chief Joseph Cable, Alvin Radford, Russell Bice, Mark Ellis, Roy Wheeler, Phillip Wheeler and Jeremy Brassell, Pallbearers will be members of the Navy Junior ROTC.
