Mrs. Maria Vogel Duffie (DUFFIE, S.C.)



DUFFIE, S.C. - Entered into rest, Wednesday, November 3, 2004 in Aiken Regional Medical Center, Mrs. Maria Vogel Duffie, age 75, of Vaucluse, S.C., beloved wife of Bertrand L. Duffie, Sr. of Vaucluse, S.C. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Renate D. Stone and her husband, Roy Stone of Aiken, two sons, Raymond W. Duffie and his wife, Ann Duffie of Vaucluse. and Lanier Duffie and his wife, Dale Duffie of Aiken, S.C., six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Duffie was born in Momlingen, Germany but had been a resident of Aiken County for the past fifty-two years. She was a member of the Vaucluse Methodist Church. Maria was a very congenial person and always had a loving smile for everyone. She will truly be missed by her many friends and family but there is a consolation in knowing that she has moved to a better place with no more pain and sorrow. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Weathers officiating. The interment will follow in the Vaucluse Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Ed Wheaton, Jerry Hatcher, Jason Palmer, Marty Adkinson, Brent Owensby, Eric Owensby and Roy Stewart. The family will receive friends at the residence in Vaucluse or tonight, Friday, November 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Napier Funeral Home, 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C.
