Mrs. Margaret Raymond Bridges (DRUID HILLS, Ga.)



DRUID HILLS, Ga. - Margaret Raymond Bridges, aged 91, died peacefully at her home in Druid Hills on November 3 after a long illness. A native of Augusta, she attended Tubman High School, graduated from the University of Georgia, and did graduate work at Emory University and the University of Southern California. She was the widow of Dr. Glenn J. Bridges, Sr., an Atlanta urologist. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Bridges Altizer, of Atlanta; three sons, Glenn J. Bridges of East Dublin, Chandler Raymond Bridges of Marietta and Andrew P. Bridges of Portola Valley, California; by seven grandchildren Douglas L. Altizer of Decatur, Chandler Bridges, Jr., of Los Angeles, Susannah Bridges of Los Angeles, Caroline Bridges of Atlanta, Meredith Bridges of Stone Mountain and Kate and Thomas Bridges-Lyman of Portola Valley, California and by three great-grandchildren, Haegan and Baylen Altizer of Decatur and Benjamin Stafford Bridges of Los Angeles. Th e family will have a visitation at A.S. Turner & Sons in Decatur on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. There will be a private interment on Sunday at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta.
