WHEN: 9 p.m. Thursday
WHERE: The Roxy Theatre, 3110 Roswell Road, Atlanta
BEST KNOWN FOR: Reinvigorating the gloomy guitar sound pioneered by British post-punk acts
WHAT'S BEING PUSHED: The band's new album, Antics
TRIVIA: Often compared to British bands such as The Chameleons and Joy Division, Interpol hails from New York City. The band formed in 1998 at New York University, so they're a clever bunch.
The name comes from the international law enforcement agency of the same name.
Although the band's live performances and deafening buzz allows for a little kicking it rock-star style, they have only released two albums, Turn On the Bright Lights in 2002, and Antics earlier this year.
