Richmond County School District 5 voters will elect a trustee Tuesday who could very easily determine the direction of the school board for years to come.
That person should possess the following qualities: intellect, leadership skills and integrity. He or she should also be able to solve problems without creating larger ones.
We need a school board representative who will work harmoniously with the entire board. The person elected must be able to move forward and assist the other trustees in meeting their goals and objectives for the betterment of students, parents and all Richmond County residents concerned about education.
Y.N. Myers Jr. has proven during his tenure on the board that he possesses the good qualities. Richmond Countians must begin electing persons who will ensure the continuation of progress on the Board of Education. This can be done by re-electing Mr. Myers as the District 5 representative.
