Mr. Harold Abney (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. Harold Abney of E. Watkins Street entered into rest Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the Augusta Hills Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Moses Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Green officiating. Burial will be in Walker Memorial Park. He was a native of Barnwell County, S.C., a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Lees, S.C.; retired from Boral Brick Company after 25 years of employment and a member of the Sportsman Boat Club. Survivors are his wife, Anna B. Abney; one son, Larry Abney, Augusta; one sister, Daisy Mae (David) Mincy, Blackville, S.C.; three step-sisters, Rosa Mae Burley, Charlie Mae Lattimore and Gloria Jessie, all of Augusta; two brothers, Harold Batie, Jr., Orlando, Florida and Cleveland (Elizabeth) Batie, Blackville, S.C.; mother-in-law, Essie Mae Mack, Blackville, S.C.; sister-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
