  • The Columbia County Braves will host a USSSA Qualifying tournament for 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 year olds at Diamond Lakes Complex Oct. 2-3. Entry fee will be $350. For more information, call Jeff Rice at (706) 650-1844 or (706) 722-7704.

  • Citizens Park II is still accepting registration for fall baseball. Age divisions will be 5-8, 9-11 and 12-14. Registration fee is $70, with an additional out-of-city resident fee of $35. The season will run Aug. 31-Oct. 14. For more information, call 642-7761.

  • The Aiken Fang Fall Classic USSSA/FTLOTG 9-18 baseball tournament will be held Oct. 1-3 at Citizens Park I and II.
  • The Halloween Diamond Back Classic USSSA/FTLOTG 9-18 baseball tournament will be held Oct. 29-31 at Citizens Park I and II.

  • The Greater Augusta Sports Council will present the fourth annual College Basketball Preseason Tip-Off Luncheon Oct. 11 at 12 p.m. at the Radisson Riverfront Riverfront Hotel in Augusta. Tickets are $25 for GASC members and $35 for non-members. A combination luncheon ticket and new GASC membership is available for $65.   • The BlazeSports Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will be held Friday through Sunday at Riverview Park. The tournament will follow National Wheelchair Basketball rules. For more information, call Judie Thompson at (706) 823-8691.
  • The Harlem Globetrotters will play the New York Nationals at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center March 11 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $14 and will be available at the Civic Center box office, area Publix, by phone at (706) 828-7700, or on-line at ticketweb.com.   • Karate

  • Gymnastics

  • Gymnastics classes will be offered at the H.O. Weeks center for beginner and intermediate gymnasts on Thursdays from 6-7 p.m. The class is for boys and girls ages 4-12.
