Sacred Heart event

Sacred Heart Remembers will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 tonight at Sacred Heart Cultural Center, 1301 Greene St. It will celebrate the heritage of Sacred Heart with a reception and let the public meet members who have historical connections to the center. Admission is $10 a person, $25 per family or free for members.

Senior prom

A senior prom will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at The Boathouse, 1101 Riverfront Drive. The event will feature prizes, raffles, refreshments and a prom king and queen contest. The prom is open to age 30 and older. Admission is $22, to benefit My Parent's Care.

Volunteer training

Rape Crisis and Sexual Assault Services will hold volunteer training from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Conference Rooms 1-5 at University Hospital, 1350 Walton Way. Training will address topics related to sexual assault, including how cases are investigated and prosecuted. Training is free. For more information, call 774-2769.

'West Side Story'

The Augusta Players' production of West Side Story will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Imperial Theatre, 745 Broad St. Tickets range from $12 to $40. For more information, call 826-4707.

Monster event

The Monster Motor Nationals will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, 601 Seventh St. Friday tickets are $15 for adults, $6 for children 12 and younger in advance; $17 for adults, $6 for children on the day of the show. Saturday tickets are $15 for adults, $10.50 for children in advance; $17 for adults and $13 for children the day of the show Saturday.

September Fest

September Fest will begin with a parade at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Hephzibah. It includes local bands, concessions, arts and crafts, a car show, raffles and a yard sale. September Fest is free.

Antiques auction

The Historic Augusta Antiques Auction and Gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Enterprise Mill Event Center, 1450 Greene St.. The theme is Perfectly Aged: Antiques and Wine.

It will feature a wine tasting, dishes from restaurants and caterers, and an auction preview. The auction begins at 8 p.m.

The evening benefits the boyhood homes of President Woodrow Wilson and Supreme Court Justice Joseph R. Lamar.

Silent movies

Silent Movie Night will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Sacred Heart Cultural Center, 1301 Greene St. The movie is Phantom of the Opera. Organist Ron Carter will be available to answer questions at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10 or $25 (includes a recliner and refreshments).
