Mrs. Peggy McArthur (AUGUSTA, Ga.)



AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Peggy McArthur, 71, beloved wife Mr. J. T. "Mac" McArthur, of Richards Road, Augusta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 6, 2004, at St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. McArthur was a generous grandmother who loved her grandchildren and giving a helping hand to those in need. She loved Southern Gospel music. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Mize Memorial United Methodist Church with the Reverends Fred Heard and Guy S. Campbell, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Others surviving her include her daughters and sons in law, Peggy Ann and Gene Hollins, Kelly and Harris "Bubba" Linder, Kerry and Greg Leaptrotte; sister and brother in law, Betty Jean and Larry Wooten; grandchildren, Gene Thomas Hollins, Jess Hollins, Bryan Florence, Mitchell Florence, Betty Jane Florence, Gregory Leaptrotte, Joel Leaptrotte and Madison Leaptrotte; great grandchil dren, Kelsey Hollins and Jessica Hollins; nieces, Donna Wooten and Christy Stewart. Mrs. McArthur, a native of Langley, S.C., was the daughter of the late James Madison and Beatrice Pearl Roberts Moody. She was a homemaker and a member of Mize Memorial U.M.C. where she had served as a communion steward, was a member of the Walters Sunday School Class and the Sunrisers.
